 Post subject: New tone bar design.

Why carve your tone bars when you can pick them up at Lowe's or Home Depot. The ones on this late 40's J-50 come in oak and have the fancy routed edge. They are about 1" tall, so you don't have to worry about those pesky top vibrations. You might want to pick up a 5 gallon pail of that glue while you are there, because it works best when it is really thick.

Thanks, Tom. That's one reason I have not built any guitars lately. I have been busy with "lost puppy rescue" on old Gibsons. This one turned into a really nice one.
